Mars Service $89

Recommended for: entry level General Service, safety check of post-crash service for the social or recreational cyclist. If your drive train is relatively clean but needs some minor repairs like gear, brake or bearing adjustments then the Venus service is a good option . It can also be used as a supplementary service to the Planet Neptune or Planet Earth Services.

Frequency: Planet recommends a Venus Service every 3-6months

·         Check bicycle frame and fork condition

·         Check and tighten handlebars and stem

·         Check and tighten steering headset

·         Check and tighten crankset and pedals

·         Check and tighten seatpost and saddle

·         Check and tighten wheel nuts, quick release and cones

·         Check wheel condition and spoke tension

·         Straighten or true minor wheel buckles in bike

·         Check tyre condition and inflate tyres

·         Check and adjust gears, lubricating cables where required

·         Check and adjust brakes, lubricating cables where required

·         Lubricate chain, derailleurs and brake callipers

·         Wipe clean frame and wheels

·         Secure accessories

·         Performance test ride

 

Enhance any service with any of the following additions during the service:

Ø  Remove fork, stem and handlebars for inspection, regrease bolts $40

Ø  Remove handlebar tape and fit new tape $15

Ø  Remove rear derailleur, align dropouts and straighten rear tip $20

Ø  Remove headset steering bearings, re-grease and reinstall $30

Earth Service $129*

A Performance Service, recommended for: the commuter, casual rider or social triathlete or cyclist wanting a comprehensive service and thorough wash and de-grease to enhance their bicycle’s performance. Recommended frequency: Planet recommends an Earth Service every 6 to 12 months

* due to the comprehensive nature of this service, please ask for parts quote on arrival with your bike. This service will typically require parts such as cables, bar tape, and perhaps chain +/- cogs.

·         Degrease and wash entire bike, wheels, chain, derailleurs (on bike) and all cogs using biodegradable degreaser and rain water

·         Thoroughly clean and wipe down entire bike

·         Remove crankset and tighten bottom bracket cups

·         Check bicycle frame and fork condition

·         Check and tighten handlebars and stem

·         Check and tighten steering headset

·         Check and tighten crankset and pedals

·         Check and tighten seatpost and saddle

Neptune Service $169*

A Performance-Plus Service recommended for: the serious racer in your racing or heavy training phase. Recommended 3-10 days prior to a major race to have everything checked and double-checked and have all the little extra things done before you race  to ensure against having a mechanical on your big day. You have spent valuable time and money getting to this race, you owe it to yourself to arrive there with your bike in great shape.

* due to the comprehensive nature of this service, please ask for parts quote on arrival with your bike. This service typically requires new handlebar tape, cables, bearings and possibly new chain +/- cogs.

·         Degrease and wash entire bike, wheels, chain, remove and clean derailleurs and all cogs using biodegradable degreaser, re-grease and reinstall

·         Remove handle bar tape and handle bars, stem and fork, check for corrosion or faults and re-grease all bolts and face plates to de-creak front end of bike

·         Remove crankset and bottom bracket cups, re-grease and reinstall

·         Remove rear derailleur, align dropouts and straighten rear tip using industry leading tools

·         Remove tyres and tubes checking rim, base tapes, internal tyre casings and tubes

·         Check bicycle frame and fork condition

·         Check and tighten handlebars and stem and grease all bolts

·         Check and tighten steering headset

Saturn Service $229 ($269 Full  Suspension MTB)

Full Pro Service recommended for: the hardcore commuter or competitive bicycle athlete who wants to have all their bases covered and the peace of mind that comes with knowing that your bike has been fully stripped down, inspected and reconditioned to as near to new condition as possible. This service offers great value for those looking at an Earth or Neptune Service but also need a few extra bearings regreased.

Recommended frequency: Planet recommends a Saturn Service every 12 months

 

·         Strip down entire frame and remove all parts and bearings including fork

·         Degrease and wash entire bike, wheels, chain, derailleurs and all cogs using biodegradable degreaser, re-grease and reinstall

·         Check bicycle frame and fork condition

·         Remove handle bar tape and handle bars, stem and fork, check for corrosion or faults and re-grease all bolts and face plates to de-creak front end of bike

·         Remove tyres and tubes checking rim, base tapes, internal tyre casings and tubes

·         Align dropouts and straighten rear tip using industry tools

·         Remove hub cones, bearings, re-grease front and rear hubs and reinstall

·         Remove and replace freehub body if required

·         Regrease bottom bracket cups and crank,  and reinstall

·         Re-grease headset steering bearings and reinstall fork

·         Straighten wheels and true any buckles

Jupiter Service $299 ($339 Full Suspension MTB)

·         Strip down entire frame and fork removing all parts and bearings

·         Degrease and wash entire bike, wheels, chain, derailleurs and all cogs using biodegradable degreaser

·         Remove each individual part and component dismantling including springs, anchor blots and washers in  derailleurs, brake levers, gear levers, brake callipers (road, V brake or disc),  Each part, bolt and washer is then cleaned individually and replaced after being re-greased and re-lubed along the way

·         New inner and outer cables and cable end caps included in service

·         Re-bleeding of hydraulic brakes included in service

·         Remove tyres and tubes checking rim, base tapes, internal tyre casings and tubes
