Planet Cycles was established in 1999 by current owner Mark Victor. Mark established Victor Cycles Sports in Coorparoo in 1990 and has been building, servicing and repairing bicycles for over 20 years. Prior to that, Mark raced at the highest level in Australia, Asia and Europe on both road and track including competing at the World Championships. He also has experience as Queensland team mechanic at both Australian and International level competitions so not only does he know how important it is to have your bike working properly, he also knows how to fix it!
We are a well established family business with a professional workshop and are proud to offer you:

Workshop Manager


Our new Planet Cycles 2nd Generation Store boasts new Store and Workshop Manager Ashley Hutchinson. Ashley represented Australia in cycling for 7 years. He was World Champion in 2004 in the Men's 4000m Team Pursuit. He represented Australia at the 2002 and 2006 Commonwealth Games, winning a Silver medal in 2006. He is 2 times World Cup Champion as well as National Champion. Ashley was awarded Queensland Cyclist of the Year twice, Queensland Champion numerous times and Oceania Champion 5 times.

Ashley and all of the Planet Cycles staff understands the importance of regular, quality servicing and repairs and can offer expert advice on which parts and services will best suit your needs.

Clean and Pure
We have installed a 3000 litre water tank in our store so that we can clean your bicycle with rainwater untreated with chlorine and other chemicals which may contribute to early corrosion of alloy components. We are proud to have made this investment in our environment and will use the tank water whenever possible to clean bicycles and parts.

With the use of biodegradable degreaser, clean rain water and environmentally sensitive waste removal is one of the most Environmentally Friendly bicycle service Stations on the Planet.
