Nicks are designed to be worn without underwear
(no seams and the leather or synthetic chamois material "breathes"
to avoid nasties.) Having said that, please wear your underwear
whilst trying them on! Never wear your nicks more than once without
washing them. (One ride, one wash - the consequences are not worth
it!)
If you are doing a lot of riding, try owning a few different brands
of nicks in order to have a slightly different size and shape chamois
for different days.
Try a bib and brace set instead of nicks with a waistband - hmmm
comfort!
Jerseys are designed to be fairly well fitted - the bright colours
are to make us more visible in traffic and the pockets come in very
handy.
Jerseys are also designed to wick the perspiration away from the
skin, to keep you more comfortable.
In winter, wearing a cotton Singlet under your jersey can actually
make you colder, as cotton absorbs moisture and you will get very
cold after you sweat. We stock special undershirts which keep the
moisture away from your skin and are also designed to cover your
lower back whilst bent over the handlebars.
Please ask for any advice you need!
