| Socks and gloves |
| They may seem like small
things, but if your hands or feet are uncomfortable, then so are you.
Cycling socks are fairly thin and designed to keep a close fit between
shoe and foot and most have a special cooling design. Gloves contribute
a great deal to a rider's comfort, stop you getting calluses and can
help reduce injury in the unfortunate incident of an unplanned get-off.
(Most gloves also have a very handy patch of towelling, for the wiping
of the brow!) Tip- if you are doing heaps of riding in the sun, watch
out for the models with the holes in the back you get a little tanned
circle on the back of your hand. |
